Part of my goals for 2020 were to do devotions. I’ve been slacking at these a bit and I really need to refocus and get back to them. These are the books that I chose to do my devotions on for the first of the year. In June I will choose new books of the Bible to read and do devotions on for the end of the year. I will be using the website She Reads Truth and their app to complete this. I can’t wait to start digging in and journaling things I’ve learned from the Bible I really have missed it. I’m really terrible at getting up in the morning to do this, so I think I will set time aside either at lunch, or just before I go to bed. I know it’s best to start with quiet time in the morning, but since I usually wake up ten minutes before I need to leave, I just don’t see this being an option. I also would definitely not be reading my Bible with my heart or attitude in the right place.
My exercise goals for the first half of 2020 are to lose 26.2 lbs. by the first of June. I want to start working hard and try to get my mile down to 14 minutes and lose another pant and shirt size. I think these goals are feasible and I can’t wait to reach them. Another goal that I have but didn’t write down is I want to try at least two new meals every month. I may even throw in a couple of vegetarian meals here and there just for something different. I’m so excited to keep showing up and working toward my goals, even when I honestly don’t feel like it.
If you told me three months ago that I would be here now, I probably wouldn’t have believed you. Time after time, I have started “eating healthy” and exercising just to give up three days to a week later. But this time was different. I can’t really explain it at all, but I am so thankful. I’m thankful that I was finally able to transform and change my mind about the way I think about food and the way I think about myself. I’m so thankful that I have a group of people who support me and encourage me every day to keep going. I am one blessed girl and I can’t wait to see how far I go!
