As Gabe gets older, we are able to do new and more things. This weekend Gabe got to experience his first pumpkin patch with his best friend (his cousin). It may have been freezing outside, thanks to the wind. However, the boys had a blast. Who would have thought that a five and two year old could (for the most part) sit through a 25 minute hayride. Gabe of course was in love with the tractor, that pulled us along and then we saw cows out in the field. It always amazes me just how excited he gets over things that are easily taken for granted as we get older. I am so thankful I get to do life with these kids and I get to pour love into their lives.
The boys got matching pajamas and got to work on their pumpkins. They had a blast decorating, even though I think Gabe had more poking holes in his pumpkin than keeping the pieces in it to make an actual face. The thing I love about Gabe, is he never poses for pictures. Josiah, sat with that smile on his face for a good 2-3 minutes while we tried to get Gabe’s attention to snap that picture of both of them.
After a long and fun day, the boys cuddled up on the couch and played a game, just before bed. I’m so happy that Gabe has a cousin close to his age that he can look up to and have fun with. It’s always a good day when I can take these two out for a little adventure. They love it and I love spending time with them.
