|You Need to Hear This|

You are enough. It doesn’t matter what has happened in your past, what people have said about you, or the lies you believe about yourself. What matters is YOU ARE ENOUGH. I spend a lot of time with people getting to know them and learning about them. There is a common theme with most people, they often feel as if they don’t measure up. Why do we believe this is okay? Maybe this is part of the reason I love Psychology so much and working in the Mental Health Field. I love building people up, filling their buckets and helping them feel empowered.

“Oh yes, you shaped me first inside, then out; you formed me in my mother’s womb.
I thank you, High God—you’re breathtaking! Body and soul, I am marvelously made! I worship in adoration—what a creation! You know me inside and out. You know every bone in my body; You know exactly how I was made, bit by bit, how I was sculpted from nothing into something. Like an open book, you watched me grow from conception to birth; all the stages of my life were spread out before you. The days of my life all prepared before I’d even lived one day.”
(Psalm 139:13-16, MSG).

You were created by God, who loves you. He created you. You were fearfully and wonderfully made by a God, who not only created you, but He created you in His image.  He took His time making you creative, musically gifted, athletic, kind, thankful, graceful, and so on.  You are beautiful. You are smart. You are gifted. You are chosen. You are whole. You are His Child.

img_1319Remember that “ The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.  I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.” (John 10:10-11, ESV). The thief wants you to believe you are nothing. But let me ask you this, If the good shepherd (Jesus) is willing to lay down His life for His sheep (us), how can you believe you are nothing or less than par? Maybe you are reading this and you are saying, “Okay, Laura, I hear you but I don’t believe what you believe.” And my response to you, would be the same… You are enough! ❤
